Wieża Bismarcka w Świdwinie

The Bismarck tower in Świdwin is a solid brick and granite structure built on a square foundation with four entrance doors, standing prominently in the city park. A spiral staircase ascends to an observation platform enclosed by a metal viewing basket, allowing visitors to see across the surrounding landscape.

The tower was designed by master mason Franz Brewing and opened to the public on September 17, 1911, after the cornerstone was laid on April 1 of the same year. Its construction took place during a period when similar monuments dedicated to the German chancellor were being built across many regions.

The tower served as a gathering place where locals came together each April 1st to mark Bismarck's birthday with community celebrations. These annual events connected local traditions with reverence for Prussian heritage.
