Podskale is a medieval castle ruin situated on a rocky ridge with steep slopes in Rząsiny. The structure was built from field stones and features an upper and lower section connected by defensive walls.
The castle was founded around 1207 by Henryk Brodaty to protect the region. It was destroyed in 1476 when miners from Kowary breached its walls under King Matthias Corvinus's orders.
The ruins display regional medieval building methods, especially in the vaulted cellar and wall sections that remain visible today. These remnants help visitors understand how fortifications were constructed in this area.
