Łysanki, Mountain summit in Tatra Mountains, Poland.
Łysanki is a mountain summit in the Tatra Mountains with an elevation of 1,446 m (4,744 ft). The peak features exposed rock formations along its northeastern ridge and open areas offering views across the surrounding terrain.
The summit became accessible to hikers at the end of the 1800s when a marked trail was established for regular mountain traffic. This early development reflected growing interest in exploring this section of the Tatras.
The mountain stands within the protected Zakopane Regle area, preserving original Carpathian beech forests and rare plant species like the Hoppe's cudweed.
Visitors reach the summit by following the yellow trail to Wielka Polana and then taking the black-marked path heading east. These well-established routes provide clear guidance through the mountain terrain.
A severe storm in 1968 created small clearings at the summit that provide specific viewing angles toward the west and south. These natural openings through the vegetation offer vantage points rarely found elsewhere on this mountain.
