Fabryka Maszyn Żniwnych
Fabryka Maszyn Żniwnych was a manufacturing facility in Płock that produced harvesting machines and agricultural equipment. The plant made grain combine harvesters, mowers, and various models of farm machinery for domestic and international markets.
The factory began operations in February 1945, initially repairing military equipment before transitioning to manufacturing harvesting machines. It became a major producer of grain combines and exported its products, particularly the Bizon brand, to countries worldwide.
The former factory grounds remain visible in Płock today, with some of the original buildings still standing. Visitors can explore the architecture and layout of the historical industrial site to gain a sense of the city's production history.
The plant shipped machines under the Bizon brand name to countries including Brazil, France, and Vietnam, becoming one of the world's leading manufacturers of such equipment at its peak. Workers initially received wages partly in food rations and had access to company amenities such as canteens, shops, and cultural events.
