Kashubian Ethnographic Park in Wdzydze Kiszewskie

The Kashubian Ethnographic Park is an open-air museum in Wdzydze Kiszewskie with 52 authentic wooden buildings spread across 22 hectares along Lake Gołuń. The structures come from rural areas of Kashubia and Kociewie and show regional architecture spanning different periods.

Teodora and Izydor Gulgowski founded this museum in 1906, beginning with an 18th-century cottage and making it Poland's first open-air museum. They then systematically collected buildings from the region to preserve rural heritage.

The buildings display living spaces, workshops, and a school furnished with original items that show how people lived in this region. You can see how families cooked, worked, and organized their homes in daily life.

The museum is located at ul. T. i I. Gulgowskich 68 in Wdzydze and is easy to reach on foot once you arrive in the area. Guided tours are available, and you can attend traditional craft workshops to learn about old techniques.

The museum preserves working agricultural machinery and tools that show how people farmed and worked the land in earlier times. These machines are not just displayed but are sometimes actually used to demonstrate traditional farming methods.
