Jaskinia Mała w Mułowej, Limestone cave in Tatra Mountains, Poland

Jaskinia Mała w Mułowej is a limestone cave in the Tatra Mountains that extends for several kilometers under the Dolinka Mułowa region. The system features multiple corridors and underground chambers that descend deep beneath the surface.

The cave remained largely unknown until 2002, when members of the Sądecki Mountaineering Club dramatically extended its mapped length from just a few meters to several kilometers. This discovery revealed one of the Tatra Mountains' most extensive cave systems.

The cave holds particular significance for Polish speleology research, contributing valuable data about geological formations and underground water systems in the Tatra Mountains.

The entrance is extremely small and requires crawling to access, along with specialized caving equipment for exploration. Visitors should only enter with experienced guides or cavers due to the challenging underground terrain.

The Sala Fakro chamber is a giant underground hall of monumental scale that leaves a lasting impression on those who reach it. This space represents one of the largest naturally formed underground rooms in all of Central Europe.
