Jezioro Wrzeszczyńskie, Jezioro zaporowe w województwie dolnośląskim
Jezioro Wrzeszczyńskie is a water reservoir on the Bober River in the Karkonosko District of Poland. The man-made basin stretches about 3 kilometers and features gentle sloping banks with patches of grass and small trees along its shores.
The reservoir was built in 1926-1927 as one of the newer dams on the Bober River. It was created to regulate water flow for the nearby Wrzeszczyn Power Plant and became part of a network of water management structures along the river.
A marked hiking trail runs along the shoreline connecting nearby villages, making it easy to walk around the water body at your own pace. Several spots offer views of the water and are suitable for sitting to rest or observe local birds and wildlife.
In winter, the water surface freezes into a thick sheet of ice, sometimes allowing ice fishing or walking directly on the frozen surface. This seasonal transformation gives the reservoir a completely different appearance and feel throughout the year.
