Kamionna, Mountain peak in Lesser Poland, Poland
Kamionna is a mountain summit in the Beskid Wyspowy range, rising to 801 meters above sea level. The peak features open slopes and meadows that provide unobstructed views across the surrounding terrain.
The peak has served as a natural boundary between different territories since medieval times. This geographical role shaped local administrative divisions throughout the centuries.
Local shepherds maintain traditional grazing practices on the mountain slopes, contributing to the preservation of regional agricultural methods.
Multiple marked hiking trails approach the summit from different directions, with the eastern path offering the most gradual ascent. Good footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are important year-round, as conditions can change quickly at this elevation.
From the summit, four different mountain ranges are visible: the Tatras, the Gorce, the Beskid Sądecki, and the Beskid Wyspowy. This layered panorama makes the location popular with photographers and nature watchers.
