Saint John the Baptist church in Płock is a neo-Gothic building with three naves arranged in a hall-type layout and two front towers of different heights. The southern tower is noticeably taller than the northern one and defines the structure's visual character.
A wooden parish church from the early second millennium once stood at this site before the current structure was built between 1909 and 1912. The new construction followed late 19th century architectural principles and replaced several earlier predecessors.
