Corpus Christi church in Elbląg, Gothic church in Elbląg, Poland
The Corpus Christi Church features an octagonal tower, buttresses, and a brick gallery constructed in Gothic Revival style from 1896.
Built around 1300 near the St George leper hospital, the church underwent reconstruction in 1405 following a fire that destroyed the original chapel.
The building now functions as the Diocese Priesthood Centre and Centre for Christian Culture, maintaining its religious significance in the community.
The church, located at Bożego Ciała 29 in Elbląg, accepts visitors through advance telephone reservations for guided tours of the premises.
The church walls display preserved inscriptions formed by glazed mouldings, representing architectural craftsmanship from medieval times.
