Church of St. Lukas in Drzewica

The Church of St. Lukas is a Gothic building with red brick walls and a distinctive tower featuring a circular plan, enhanced by defensive features including shooting openings. The structure displays typical medieval architectural elements that define the town's character.

The building was founded in 1315 by the Drzewicki family and completed in 1462 under the direction of brothers Mikołaj and Jan Drzewicki. This extended construction period reflects the gradual development of one of the region's significant religious structures.

The church displays Latin inscriptions above its entrance that honor the Drzewicki brothers, accompanied by carved stone emblems representing the Ciołek and Gryf family coats of arms. These details reveal the noble families who shaped the building and left their mark on its walls.
