Our Lady of Victories Church is a Catholic church in the old town of Lublin, Poland, with a Renaissance facade and decorated gables. Inside, the vaulted ceilings stand alongside Neo-Gothic furnishings added around 1901.
The church was founded in the early 15th century by a Polish ruler as a thanksgiving offering after a military victory. Parts of the building were remodeled over the following centuries before it reached its current form.
The church holds a rare 15th-century panel painting of Saint Bridget, one of the oldest surviving paintings in Lublin. The wooden choir stalls from the 17th century carry carved scenes that visitors can still observe up close today.
The church sits in the old town of Lublin, close to other historic buildings, and is easy to reach on foot. Visitors should keep in mind that services may be in progress, so quiet behavior inside is appreciated.
During restoration work, painted surfaces were found in the church attic showing a ruler's procession through the city. These works had been hidden for centuries and are among the rarest finds of this kind in the region.
