Our Lady of Victories Church is a Catholic house of worship in Lublin featuring Renaissance elements such as vaulted ceilings and elaborate gables. The interior underwent Neo-Gothic redesign around 1901 and presents a blend of architectural periods from different eras.
A ruler of the early fifteenth century commissioned this church to commemorate a military victory against foreign enemies. The building remains deeply connected to a significant moment in the medieval history of the region.
The church houses a rare fifteenth-century painting of Saint Bridget, among the oldest artworks in the city. Seventeenth-century pieces in the wooden choir stalls offer visitors insight into the artistic heritage of the space.
The church is located on Narutowicza Street in the city center and can be reached easily on foot. During opening hours, visitors can view the interior and attend services provided they do not interfere with ongoing worship.
Original painted surfaces were discovered in the church attic depicting historical scenes of a ruler's procession through the city. These forgotten works offer a rare glimpse into artistic traditions of earlier times.
