Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Lachowice

The Church of Saints Peter and Paul is a wooden structure on stone foundations topped by a hexagonal bell tower and onion dome. The barrel vaults feature painted star patterns, and the music choir displays a curved parapet supported by profiled pillars.

Built between 1789 and 1792 at the commission of Teresa from Sułkowski Wielopolska, it replaced an earlier chapel from 1707. This construction represented a significant renewal of the parish's religious life.

Inside, late Baroque furnishings fill the space with four side altars and a canopied pulpit, while the walls display twelve apostle figures painted in 1891.

The building sits within an active cemetery sheltered by mature trees, accessible through several wooden-gated entrances. The grounds are open year-round for visits at all times.

The dedication to Saints Peter and Paul reflects apostolic traditions that shaped religious life across the region for centuries. Wooden construction was the standard approach for rural parish churches in this part of Poland.
