St. Michael's Church, Grodków

The brick church features high ceilings, pointed arches, and a rectangular chancel with cross vaults supported by rectangular pillars throughout the structure.

First documented in 1282, the church underwent reconstruction after a fire in 1449 and received substantial renovations during the Counter-Reformation period in 1671.

The interior contains a collection of Renaissance and Baroque artworks, including a 1728 main altar created by sculptor Michael Kössler and painter Melchior Franziskus Ansi.

The church maintains regular religious services and welcomes visitors to explore its architectural elements, including the preserved 13th-century chancel sections.

The church tower, added in the late medieval period, contains church bells that survived multiple reconstructions and a lightning strike through the centuries.
