Bar Maksym, Gdynia

Bar Maksym is a seaside establishment in the Orłowo district with extensive glass walls that open views directly to the Baltic Sea and Orłowo pier. The building spans roughly 740 square meters (nearly 8,000 square feet), creating a visual connection between the interior and the waterfront.

The bar opened between 1960 and 1970 and quickly became a gathering spot for international sailors and business people. By the 1980s, it had developed into a center of social life and informal commerce within the port city.

The venue displayed art pieces and custom furniture, hosting performances by international musicians and Polish entertainers. It served as a meeting place where visitors could experience live entertainment against the backdrop of the sea.

The building is located at 13 Orłowska Street, near public transportation stops and beach access points. Its proximity to the pier and promenade makes it easy to reach and combine with other nearby attractions.
