The Zagłębie Museum occupies two distinct buildings: a medieval castle on Castle Street and an 18th-century palace on Gzichowska Street in Będzin.
The museum, established in 1956 to mark Będzin's 600th anniversary of receiving city rights, started its operations within the castle walls.
The museum's permanent exhibitions present collections of weapons from the 16th to 20th centuries, along with historical documents and regional artistic works.
Visitors can explore five specialized departments: History, Archaeology, Ethnography, Weapons and Armament, and Art, each offering detailed insights into regional heritage.
The palace section displays period interiors with original furniture and paintings from local artists of the Zagłębie Dąbrowski region.
