Olimp building in Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, Residential skyscraper in Wrzeszcz, Poland.

The Olimp is a 55-meter tall residential building with 17 stories located in the center of Wrzeszcz. The structure houses apartments of varying sizes within its modern architectural frame that defines the neighborhood skyline.

Built in 1969, the structure became the second tallest building in Gdańsk at that time. It remained the tallest in Wrzeszcz until 2011 when a new high-rise surpassed it in height.

The building takes its name from a cafe that once operated on its top floor and now functions as a restaurant. This naming reflects how local landmarks often grow from everyday gathering spaces that shape a neighborhood's identity.

The building is easy to locate from the main streets of the district and immediately stands out due to its height. Access to ground-level areas and public spaces is straightforward for visitors exploring the neighborhood.

During communist times, residents nicknamed the building 'Dolarowiec' because apartments could only be purchased with foreign currency. This practice made housing accessible mainly to sailors and their families.
