Park Miejski w Kaliszu, Public park in Kalisz, Poland
Park Miejski spreads across 24 hectares along the Prosna River, featuring diverse sections including the Old Park, Great Park, and Sports Park.
Established in 1798 on former Jesuit gardens, the park became the first public garden in Poland under the direction of Kalisz president Jan Karol Horning.
The park contains several historical monuments, including the Flora sculpture and a marble sundial from 1878, reflecting the city's artistic legacy.
Located near the city center, the park provides walking paths, benches, and dining spots while offering natural spaces for recreation throughout the year.
The park includes Kogutek pond, mentioned in Maria Dabrowska's literary work 'Nights and Days', and preserves 150 tree species with 65 natural monuments.
