Sielecki Park in Sosnowiec, Municipal park in Sosnowiec, Poland.
Sielecki Park is a green space in Sosnowiec divided by the Czarna Przemsza River. It contains around 60 tree and shrub species, along with facilities including a skating rink, playground, basketball courts, outdoor gym equipment, and a seasonal cafe.
The park was established in 1835 and later belonged to Count Andrzej Renard, who transformed it into an English-style landscape garden starting in 1856. This redesign lasted until Renard left in 1874.
The White Eagle Monument displays the inscription 'Freedom Work Dignity', reflecting Polish national identity. Local people gather here to remember the country's heritage and values.
The park is split into two sections by the river, so crossing the bridge lets you explore both sides. The best times to visit are warmer months when all facilities are open.
The park holds rare tree varieties like the Indian bean tree and scarlet hawthorn, with many specimens reaching around 100 years old. These ancient trees shape the landscape and provide shade throughout the pathways.
