Park Moniuszki in Łódź

Park Moniuszki is a 2.3 hectare green space with pines, spruces, birches, and maples arranged around three central flower beds. The plantings create distinct zones throughout the grounds that invite walking and lingering.

The park was established in 1875 near Łódź Fabryczna railway station as the second public park in the city. Its location in this railway district helped shape the structure of the expanding industrial city.

The park takes its name from composer Stanisław Moniuszko, a figure of importance in Łódź's musical history. A bronze bust of the composer faces Narutowicza Street, serving as a local landmark within the green space.

The grounds feature accessible playgrounds, lighting, and waste management facilities upgraded during a 2020 renovation. The infrastructure makes it easy to navigate and spend extended time here comfortably.

A common beech tree protected as a natural monument stands among the park's other vegetation. This remarkable tree serves as a quiet reminder of the site's long natural history.
