The granite memorial features a commemorative plaque mounted on a glacial erratic boulder sourced from nearby fields in northern Poland.
The monument was unveiled on May 14, 2010, shortly after President Lech Kaczyński's death in the Smolensk air disaster that April.
The memorial marks the location where President Kaczyński addressed local residents during his May 2009 visit to celebrate Skórcz's 75th city anniversary.
Visitors can find the monument in the central Market Square, also known as Freedom Square, where official ceremonies take place throughout the year.
This memorial holds the distinction of being the first monument in Poland dedicated to President Lech Kaczyński following the Smolensk catastrophe.
