Rezerwat przyrody Czantoria, Nature reserve in Ustroń, Poland
Czantoria Nature Reserve is a protected forest area on the northern slopes of Wielka Czantoria mountain in the Silesian Beskids. The woodland here features maple, sycamore, and ash trees characteristic of mountain forests in this region.
The reserve was established in November 1996 to protect the native mountain forest communities found there. This protection reflected growing efforts to preserve such habitats across Central Europe.
The reserve functions as an environmental research location where scientists study the diverse communities of maple, sycamore, and ash trees.
Well-marked hiking trails cross through the reserve and connect with the Czech side's Čantoryje reserve at the border. The pathways are accessible year-round for visitors wanting to explore the forest on foot.
The forest contains different specialized plant communities adapted to specific growing conditions found across the slopes. This variety makes it a valuable site for ecological research and observation.
