Czarny Las is a nature reserve consisting of mixed woodland covering about 16 hectares in a rural area. A 600-meter wooden boardwalk guides visitors through different sections of the forest.
The reserve was officially established in 1981 through a governmental decree. Later it gained protection as part of a European conservation network in 2008.
Visitors use the forest as a place for observing nature and understanding woodland ecosystems firsthand. The maintained paths allow people to experience the variety of plants and animals in their natural setting.
The wooden boardwalk provides an easy walking route through the terrain and is accessible year-round. Visitors should wear appropriate footwear and bring clothing suited to damp conditions, as the forest floor can be wet depending on the season.
The reserve is home to some of the oldest trees in the region, including oaks that are over 160 years old. These ancient trees give the woodland a distinctive character and reveal the longevity of undisturbed forests.
