Nature reserve Zbocza Płutowskie, Nature reserve in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland
The Zbocza Płutowskie reserve spans 34.76 hectares across the municipalities of Chełmno and Kijewo Królewskie, featuring temperate grasslands and shrublands on limestone slopes.
The protected area, established in 1963 with 19.49 hectares, expanded to 34.49 hectares in 1989 and received Natura 2000 designation in 2011, covering 1002.42 hectares.
The reserve contains the largest concentration of xerothermic vegetation along the lower Vistula River, representing significant botanical research value for Polish scientists.
Visitors can explore the reserve through the Chełmno Reserves Trail, which connects multiple protected areas in the Vistula Valley region.
The reserve protects rare spring pheasant's eye flowers (Adonis vernalis) and Siberian bellflowers (Campanula sibirica) growing on dry, calcareous soils.
