RTON Nowa Karczma, Radio and television broadcast tower in Nowa Karczma, Poland.
The RTON Nowa Karczma is a radio and television broadcast tower located in Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The steel mast rises 134 meters tall and sits on terrain that is already 315 meters above sea level.
The transmission facility began operating in 1995 and replaced an older 70-meter mast. This upgrade was designed to improve broadcast coverage across the entire region.
The transmission tower distributes multiple radio frequencies and television channels, supporting media access for communities within a 40-70 kilometer radius.
The mast sits roughly 13 kilometers from national route 30, which connects Zgorzelec and Jelenia Góra. The location is fairly remote, so visitors should come prepared with proper transportation and local directions.
The facility uses different antenna heights for various services, with radio equipment mounted at 90 meters and television systems at 110, 117, and 128 meters. This arrangement allows multiple signals to be transmitted at the same time without interfering with each other.
