Dzwonkówka, Mountain peak in Bieszczady Mountains, Poland

Dzwonkówka is a mountain peak in the Bieszczady Mountains, rising to about 983 meters and offering wide views across the surrounding landscape on clear days. Marked trails lead to its summit from several starting points around the region.

The mountain region around Dzwonkówka bears traces of former Lemko and Boiko settlements that existed here until the mid-20th century. These communities shaped highland life in these territories for centuries before that time.

Mountain shelters near Dzwonkówka serve traditional Polish highland cuisine, including regional sheep cheese specialties and hearty mountain soups. You will find locals there sharing recipes and eating customs passed down through generations.

The trails to the summit are clearly marked, but in winter from December through March, hikers need extra equipment like crampons and ice axes. Allow extra time because weather can change rapidly and conditions can become difficult.

The mountain slopes provide natural habitats for European brown bears, wolves, and lynx that roam freely in this protected area. These predators have returned to the forests, showing that wildlife is recovering in the region.
