City Park in Torun

The 25-hectare park extends for one kilometer along Bydgoska Street, containing nearly 100 different species of trees and shrubs within its boundaries.

Established in 1817, the park stands as one of Poland's earliest garden foundations, marking a significant development in urban green spaces during the 19th century.

The park features Schiller's Bench, made of gray and white marble, displaying a brown bas-relief profile of the poet at its back since 1905.

Multiple walking paths wind through the park's southern section, which slopes down toward the Vistula River, providing spaces for exercise and recreation.

During the period between World Wars, the park contained a large summer restaurant that could accommodate three thousand guests at once.
