Pałac w Gułtowach

The palace in Gułtowy is a two-story rectangular building with classical features including corner rustication and ornamental details throughout its design. The facades display meander patterns and a tympanum bearing the Bniński coat of arms decorated with panoply motifs.

The palace was constructed between 1779 and 1786 for Ignacy Bniński under the direction of two successive architects. Wawrzyniec Richter began the project initially, while German architect Ignacy Graff completed the work.

The palace displays the Bniński family coat of arms prominently on its facade, representing the noble lineage that commissioned this residence. Such classical estates reflected the status and refined taste of the regional gentry during the late 1700s.

The palace is located at Park im. A. Bnińskiego 1 in Gułtowy, Greater Poland, and operates as a creative center for university programs. The building is open to visitors interested in exploring its interiors and architectural details.

The interior features elaborate frescoes created by renowned painter Antoni Smuglewicz between 1800 and 1804, showcasing architectural motifs that reflected contemporary artistic preferences. The grand hall displays these works across its walls with exceptional detail and craftsmanship.
