Raczyński Palace in Rogalin, Baroque palace in Rogalin, Poland
Raczyński Palace in Rogalin is a Baroque residence near Poznań with three wings arranged in a symmetrical layout. The central building connects two side wings, while corner towers frame the façade and classical ornaments decorate the walls.
The Raczyński family began building this residence in the late 18th century and expanded it over several generations. It served as a home and social center for the Polish aristocracy in the Greater Poland region.
The museum houses Polish and European paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries, alongside furniture and decorative objects from different periods. Visitors can walk through the rooms and see how an aristocratic family lived and what artworks they collected.
Audio guides are available in several languages, and elevators provide access to upper floors for all visitors. A restaurant in the courtyard serves regional dishes and offers a break during the visit.
The surrounding park is home to over 2000 ancient oak trees, including the famous trio Lech, Czech, and Rus, each around 1000 years old. These oaks bear the names of legendary Slavic brothers and rank among the oldest living trees in Europe.
