Danków Castle, Medieval fortress in Danków, Poland

The ruins of Danków Castle sit on the left bank of River Liswarta, featuring stone bastions constructed on a rectangular foundation plan.

Written records from the 15th century first document the castle, which later became the residence of the Warszycki family in the 17th century.

The fortress represents a notable example of Polish defensive architecture, incorporating design elements from Errard's military engineering treatise.

Visitors can access the castle ruins throughout the year and examine the remaining fortification walls, bastions, and the Krzepica Gate entrance.

Danków Castle stands as Poland's only fortress with an irregular layout of four demi-bastions forming two distinct hornwork systems.
