Transformator kioskowy is a cylindrical steel structure situated at the corner of 11 Listopada and Konopacka Streets in Praga. The column houses electrical distribution equipment with side openings that serve the neighborhood's power supply network.

History

The structure dates to Warsaw's early electrification period around 1903, when the Municipal Power Plant in Powiśle began operations. It represents the beginning of electrical infrastructure development across residential neighborhoods.

The transformer column represents early 20th-century industrial architecture and remains a testament to Warsaw's electrical infrastructure development.

This particular example belonged to a network operating at 5 kilovolt until 1977. It remains one of the few surviving structures from Warsaw's original electrical system.
