Palace in Goszcz

The Palace in Goszcz is a Baroque estate with symmetrical architecture arranged around three entrance gates that lead to a rectangular courtyard, where the main building sits at the center. The complex includes several supporting structures such as guest houses, stables, a manege, and a chapel set within a landscaped park.

The structure was originally built in 1749 and completely rebuilt in 1774 under the ownership of the von Reichenbach family. After 1945, a severe fire in 1947 caused extensive damage to the complex.

The palace reflects design ideas taken from French royal residences, blending Baroque and Rococo elements in its layout and decoration.

The site is currently undergoing restoration work funded by European grants, with plans to add viewing platforms and lighting systems for visitors. When planning a visit, check on current accessibility and which areas of the complex are open to the public.

The estate spreads across expansive landscaped grounds that include an orangery and structures built over time for various purposes like horse training and guest accommodation.
