The headquarters spans five floors with five internal courtyards, featuring facades clad in blue and purple clinker bricks across its substantial structure.
Construction of the building began in 1927 under architect Rudolf Fernholz's design, requiring over 2,500 foundation piles due to challenging soil conditions.
The entrance portico displays six sculptures of Roman warriors created by Felix Kupsch, mounted above four pillars that reach thirteen meters in height.
Located on Podwale Street 31-33, the headquarters maintains its original function while serving as the central police administration facility for the region.
The main hall incorporates malachite glazed ceramics throughout its interior, exemplifying the North German Expressionist architectural style of the 1920s.
