Castle in Byki

Castle in Byki is a rectangular fortification built across the 15th and 16th centuries, featuring two three-story towers and Renaissance window frames throughout. The interior spaces display vaulted ceilings and structural elements that reflect centuries of alterations and repairs.

The structure was built in the early 15th century and underwent major renovations in the early 1600s. During this period, one tower was transformed into a chapel to serve the spiritual needs of the resident family.

The castle served as the home and administrative base of a noble family for centuries, anchoring the surrounding estates in regional importance. Visitors can still sense how central this building was to the area's social and economic life.

The building is now occupied by an agricultural center, so access is limited and mainly available on weekends. Plan your visit in advance and check which days the site welcomes visitors before traveling there.

The northeastern tower still preserves stonework from the 15th century that reveals how medieval craftsmen shaped the interior spaces. Close inspection shows how different construction phases and repairs are visible in the walls.
