Brama Kaliska

Brama Kaliska is a medieval gate in Wieluń whose ruins now sit at a city street intersection. The remains consist of stone foundations and wall fragments that mark where this structure once controlled movement into the town.

The gate was built in the 15th century as part of the town's defenses and later converted from wood to stone in the late 1500s. The structure was torn down during the 1800s.

The foundation now supports a commemorative cross that marks where travelers and merchants once arrived from Kalisz. This spot recalls how important the trade route through here was for connecting distant towns.

The gate is located at a central street intersection and is easy to reach on foot. Visitors can see the documented foundations and the memorial cross when passing through this area.

Two small towers once stood at the end of the gate passage and reinforced entry control. This extra fortification shows how important this access point was for city security.
