Palaces in Lubniewice

The palace complex consists of two buildings situated on opposite shores of Lake Lubiaz and surrounded by a 10-hectare landscaped garden with preserved marble elements. The newer of the two structures contains ceremonial rooms that visitors can explore on guided tours, while private residential areas remain reserved for the Lubomirski family.

The first palace was built in 1812 on the site of an earlier Red Manor and underwent reconstruction in 1846. The second building was constructed between 1909 and 1911, creating the complex we see today.

The rooms display portraits of the Lubomirski family, including paintings by Marcello Bacciarelli showing Polish kings. These artistic collections give a sense of how the nobility lived and their connections across the region.

The newer building opens for guided tours where you can explore the ceremonial rooms. Keep in mind that private family residences are off-limits, and plan extra time to walk through the garden grounds.

The buildings served different purposes throughout history, from educational facilities to vacation centers before returning to residential use under Lubomirski ownership. This changing history reveals how the site adapted to the needs of different eras.
