Since its opening in 2002, the museum has received more than 1.5 million visitors, making it a central cultural institution in the Serra da Estrela region.
The museum displays Fernando Pessoa's writing desk among its collection, connecting Portuguese literary heritage with the daily bread-making traditions.
Located at Rua de Sant'Ana in Quinta Fonte do Marrão, the museum opens Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00 and includes a restaurant serving regional cuisine.
Children can participate in bread-making activities with the Hérmios tribe characters, taking home their freshly baked creations after the experience.
