Santuário de Nossa Senhora da Aparecida

The Santuário de Nossa Senhora da Aparecida is a shrine set on a hilltop in Torno featuring a main church with white exterior walls and decorative stone details throughout. The sanctuary was founded in 1823 following the discovery of a statue of the Virgin Mary in an old mine that had served as shelter for a hermit. This finding led to the establishment of the pilgrimage site that continues to draw believers today.
