Nazaré Bullring

Nazare Bullring is a two-level structure from 1897 with a polygonal lower section and a circular upper section containing private boxes. The venue holds roughly 5,500 spectators across bench seating and additional boxes on the upper floors.

The arena was rebuilt in 1897 in neo-Arab style following fires that destroyed earlier venues and replaced temporary setups dating from the 18th century. This event marked the shift from temporary structures to a permanent modern facility.

Bullfighting events here showcase horsemanship and forcados teams who demonstrate their skills without harming the animals. This form of spectacle is rooted in local identity and draws visitors seeking to experience traditional Portuguese practices.

The interior is relatively straightforward to navigate with clearly separated seating levels that make it easy to find different viewing areas. Visitors should note that the structure has multiple staircases, especially when accessing the upper boxes.
