Description
Khalifa International Stadium is a sports venue in Ar Rayyan that holds 50,500 people, marked by two large arches that span the roof structure. The seating rises in tiers around the field, and the open design allows clear sightlines from every section.
History
Opened in March 1976, the stadium underwent major renovations in 2014 to meet requirements for international competitions. The original capacity of 20,000 seats was more than doubled during the work.

The name honors a former emir, and today the venue serves as home ground for the national football team. Major sporting events draw fans from across the region, and visitors often see supporters wearing team colors gathering in the stands.
