Tarutyne

Tarutyne is a small settlement in southwestern Ukraine located in the historical Budjak region. The village sits within Bolhrad Raion of Odesa Oblast and serves as a local center for the surrounding rural communities.

The settlement was founded in 1812 and served as the administrative center of its raion for nearly two centuries. In 2020, the raion was dissolved and incorporated into Bolhrad Raion, marking a major administrative change.
