Târgoviște Princely Court is a medieval royal residence with stone walls, towers, and chamber ruins scattered across a central location. The Chindia Tower stands prominently, while stone sculptures and artifacts are grouped in a dedicated Lapidarium section.
This site became the seat of Wallachia's rulers starting in 1396 and flourished under Matei Basarab in the 17th century. Political power remained centered here until 1714, when control shifted elsewhere.
