The monastery stands on a plateau within Mount Manastirska Glama, featuring a church with neoclassical iconostasis and nineteenth-century religious paintings.
The oldest artifact connected to the monastery dates to 1255, while the current church structure was reconstructed in 1866 after destruction of the original building.
The monastery holds a collection of religious art, including icons painted in 1892 by Milisav Marković, a prominent artist from Timok Krajina region.
The monastery welcomes visitors and functions under the administration of the Eparchy of Timok within the Serbian Orthodox Church structure.
The monastery contains detailed frescoes depicting the life of Jesus Christ and numerous saints, complemented by marble elements throughout the structure.
