Krasnoyarsk

Krasnoyarsk is a major city in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, stretching across both banks of the Yenisei River and serving as an important industrial and transport center in Siberia. Cossacks established a military outpost here in 1628 under the leadership of Andrey Dubensky, naming it Krasny Yar after the red cliffs along the riverbank.
