Voskresensk is a city in Moscow Oblast in Russia, spreading along the banks of the Moskva River. The settlement sits 88 kilometers (55 miles) southeast of Moscow at an elevation of 120 meters (394 feet) and belongs to the Voskresensk urban settlement.
The village received town status in 1862 and evolved over the following decades into a center of chemical industry. In 1938 the settlement was granted municipal status and continued to grow with new production facilities.
