Solvychegodsk

Solvychegodsk is a town on the right bank of the Vychegda River in Arkhangelsk Oblast, surrounded by dense forests with traditional Russian architecture throughout. The townscape is shaped by religious and civil buildings that reflect different periods of the region's growth.

The Stroganov family began salt production in 1515 and made this place a major industrial center for northern Russia. These early activities laid the foundation for the settlement and its importance as a resource trading hub.
