Vykhino-Zhulebino District

Vykhino-Zhulebino is a district in southeastern Moscow formed by two adjacent areas featuring residential high-rises alongside parks and green spaces. The neighborhood combines apartment complexes with local shops and public areas spread across a wide expanse.

The area was originally rural land outside Moscow that later became the site of a military airfield during the second half of the 20th century. The two settlements merged into one administrative district in 1995 as large-scale urban expansion transformed the entire region.

The district serves as a residential hub with schools, parks, and recreational facilities that shape daily life for its inhabitants. These spaces reflect how the area functions as a family-oriented neighborhood.

Five metro stations provide direct connections to central Moscow, and multiple bus lines serve transportation throughout the area. This network of public transit makes it easy to move between residential areas and reach nearby destinations.

Much of this area was built on the former grounds of a military airfield that once housed military aircraft. This transformation from military to civilian use shaped how the modern neighborhood was built and organized.
