The Museum of Russian Estate Culture occupies restored historical buildings within the former Golitsyn estate grounds. The collections include furniture, artwork, and household objects that document aristocratic life and 18th-century architecture.

The estate was founded in the 1780s by the Golitsyn family and later came under the Stroganov family. It received official museum status in 2000 and was designated as an important cultural heritage site.

The name comes from the Kuzminki lakes and the Golitsyn family who resided here. The rooms display furniture, paintings, and everyday objects that reveal how aristocratic families lived their daily lives and spent their time.

The grounds are easy to explore on foot, with different buildings housing various exhibitions. Comfortable shoes are helpful since you will walk through multiple structures and outdoor areas.

Visitors can play traditional Russian games like croquet and lapta on the grounds using activities from the museum's collection. This hands-on experience provides direct insight into how aristocratic families spent their leisure time.
