Chekalin, Historic town in Tula Oblast, Russia.

The town stands on the left bank of the Oka River at an elevation of 190 meters, surrounded by the landscapes of central Russia.

Founded in 1565 as Likhvin, the settlement received its current name in 1944 in honor of Soviet partisan Alexander Chekalin during World War II.

The municipal structure of Chekalin preserves traditional Russian administrative patterns, operating as an urban settlement within the Suvorovsky Municipal District.

Chekalin maintains direct road connections to major centers in Tula Oblast, with a post office operating under the code 301414.

The settlement held the distinction of being Russia's least populated town in 2010 with 994 residents, before Innopolis took this status in 2016.
