Troitse-Gledensky Monastery, Orthodox monastery in Morozovitsa, Russia

The Troitse-Gledensky Monastery stands at the meeting point of Sukhona and Yug Rivers, featuring stone buildings with a five-domed Trinity Cathedral at its center.

Founded in the 12th century during the reign of Grand Prince Vsevolod III, the monastery expanded to own 60 villages and house 24 monks by 1725.

The monastery contains a five-row iconostasis created between 1776 and 1784 by local artists Nikolay and Timofey Bogdanov, displaying regional artistic traditions.

The monastery complex now functions as part of the Velikoustyugsky Museum of History, Art, and Architecture, allowing visitors to explore its historical structures.

The monastery transformed through various roles, from a religious institution to an agricultural commune in 1918 and later served as a correction facility.
